True Fitness Classes Review

I've signed with True Fitness!! (bye money) But yes, I'm on my way to more active classes! As most of you may know, I do not gym. So I signed a gym membership for their classes. And mainly for Aerial yoga and maybe spin classes. Aerial Yoga studios are extremely expensive - Upsize Motion is around $49 per class, $32.50 for 50 classes pass. Absolute You spin classes are at $28/class for 50 classes pass.

Thus, I've signed with True fitness for their 3 years plan. There is no termination fee.

So I'm share what type of classes I've attended so far! There are some classes that I've attended before either at Platinum Yoga or Virgin Active. While some it was our first time attending it at True.
Some class description are from True Fitness's website.
🙌 - Recommended classes

1. Aerial Yoga 🙌
(first time at True!)
There is only one outlet that provides Aerial Yoga at True Fitness currently and it's at Viva Business Park (Bedok). And there is only two days - 3 different classes for Aerial Yoga, and the competition to get a slot is strong. You have to camp at the app to try and book the class lol. And the Saturday and Sunday classes are different (according to Sandra - cause I can't wake up for the Sat class). Saturday classes are more core-ish while Sunday classes are more for poses.

Difficulty: 5/5
Fat Burn Meter: 2/5

2. Body Pump 🙌
(first time at True!)
Its a cardio class with barbell, you can select the weights accordingly. During the class, the instructor will let you know when to increase the weights/decrease accordingly. But you can just stay with the same weight if you are not comfortable. There is also cardio - dips and sit ups/crunches during the workout too. One of my favorite class to burn fats!

Difficulty: 2/5
Fat Burn Meter: 5/5

3. Body Combat

This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. And there is also cardio - like sit ups and burpees ded.

Difficulty: 2/5
Fat Burn Meter: 4/5

4. Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga consists of a series of yoga poses and breathing exercises done in a heated room at 37 degrees. The class I went at Millennia Walk was legit, unlike the one I went at Platinum yoga. lol

Difficulty: 3/5
Fat Burn Meter: 2/5

5. Zumba
(first time at True!)
I felt like I wasted an hour in this class. The instructor was fun and hyped but the class and "workout" was meh. ps. they use the same hand and leg!! :(

Difficulty: 1/5
Fat Burn Meter: 1/5

6. ICE 🙌
(first time at True!)
ICE is a spin class, a high energy workout, this indoor cycling workout is paced with light and music settings to create a vibrant atmosphere. So there are stages where you have to hit, the cycling studio at Millennia walk has the indicator, so every track you'll have a certain resistance level and the level to hit. You have to maintain the speed + resistance and the instructor will be like ok time to stand, lean forward, push up and down while cycling.

Difficulty: 3/5
Fat Burn Meter: 5/5

7. Yoga Stretch

Yoga Stretch is a total body stretching class which includes all major and minor muscle groups, designed to improve overall flexibility and balance. The class i went at Millennia walk was really all stretching so it was fine, but the recent class I went at Tampines was crayy! There was a lot of advanced poses + balancing poses which I obviously can't do - so i guess it depends on the instructor!

Difficulty for Millennia Walk: 1/5
Difficulty for Tampines: 5/5
Fat Burn Meter: 1/5

8. Yogalities 🙌
(first time at True!)
Yogalates is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates. And it focus more on core strength as there is pilates fusion. I would say this is the best yoga class I've attended for fat burning and its not very hard! :)

Difficulty: 1/5
Fat Burn Meter: 4/5

9. Party Jamz
(first time at True!)
A "dance" fitness class, it was fun, better than Zumba. And better songs than Zumba (got Kpop too :>)

Difficulty: 1/5
Fat Burn Meter: 2/5

10. Gentle Yoga
(first time at True!)
I was late for this class due to a jam at Orchard Road - i was at orchard road for 40 mins can you believe it!! :( It is far less strenuous and it focuses on flexibility. Which was really gentle LOL

Difficulty: 1/5
Fat Burn Meter: 1/5

11. Ubound 🙌
(first time at True!)
Its a jump/ bounce class! A discipline consisting of jumping on a small rebounder, UBOUND® provides extremely intense training with ZERO impact, meaning no damage to one’s joints, with the ability to expend approx. 900 calories per session. There is also a bit of cardio after all the jumping. It was really fun!!

Difficulty: 2/5
Fat Burn Meter: 4/5

12. RPM

RPM is another spin/cycling class but I think it was far less rapid than ICE. Previously when we are at Virgin Active trials, we left after track 4/5 (which is permitted for RPM) but I completed the 8 tracks recently! yay

Difficulty: 2/5
Fat Burn Meter: 4/5

I'll be giving for more classes (hopefully) and I'll give another update maybe next year! And I hope they add more types of classes too.
