Korea University Winter Exchange (Pre-Trip) 2017

Yay I’ll be heading to Korea University for Winter Exchange which lasts for 3 weeks and I’ll be traveling to busan and around for a week so a month in Korea!

And I’ll be flying with Alvina and Kamting so dayum it’s gonna be crazy hahahah

Flying in like 3 days but I feel so unprepared I have no idea why 😢
Here’s a summary of everything!

Flights

So we decided to buy one way tickets first cause we couldn’t decide when to fly back, like exactly which date. We booked a one-way scoot via taipei at $294 which included all the shit credit card charges and 20KG of baggage each. And we bought it because we needed to reach there by the 28th for our first day of classes. The flight on the 27th were left with 4 seats lol of course need to buy. Hahahahah

We also booked our return flight a month or so after booking the tickets there. It costs around $249, with the extra charges and 30KG of baggage. It was so on sale and left with like 4 seats lol.

So our flights totals up to $543 on scoot with baggage. I guess it is cheaper considering its the peak period and we booked super last minute lol. Like if we’ve booked at least 3 months earlier we’ll probably be able to book cathay? At around $500-600+ lol.

School

We didn’t apply it on our own but we applied it through SIM. So SIM allows students to sign up for exchanges within one year from your last class. My last class was in Feb so we applied through school.

Korea University

KU is actually one of the top 3 universities in Korea. The top 3 universities are called SKY universities and they are Seoul University, Korea University and Yonsei University.

Thus deciding on KU instead of Hanyang University that’s available in SIM too. And apparently KU has a longer exchange period than HU.

I’ll be in Korea till 27 Jan (26th to be exact) so HMU if you’ll be there!
