Triple Three Lunch Buffet

Went for lunch buffet with the lovelies at Triple Three,Mandarin Oriental yesterday!
It was around $34 per person but its because Julian had a 50% discount voucher. 
Excluding the taxes and service charges,it was supposed to be around $28-30 but because of that 17%, it was $34. 

The food was okay I wouldn't say there's a lot of variety no as in there was but mostly its all beef. And because I do not eat beef, I think there was too many food that I couldn't eat. 
The seafood was a lot but most of them taste weird.
They're cooked but they've been left in the cold with ice so I think they are trying to refreeze it. Whats up with them. 
Anyways, the whole crab looks weird taste weird. And it was so hard to eat it when you take out the meat there is like the shell within the meat. Homg. 
The best will be the soup of the day, which was something like fish head soup. Wa that one is shiok it was damn nice. 
Other soup was some veggie soup which i didn't try but I tried their miso soup. 
WHICH TASTES WEIRD. How can a miso soup be weird?! Isnt it the same cooking method everywhere? 
Anyways, the miso soup tastes salty and sweet at the same time. I bet they insert some teriyaki sauce inside it. Ew. 
Oh. There is also sushi, which i didn't have any because there is no kani maki. 
Kani maki is the one and only sushi that I prefer and will eat.
Maybe if there is an egg maki I'll try too but then all the sushi available there are like cucumber rolls (ew) fresh prawn (ew) and sashimi (ew) and other weird sushi which I dont eat. 
And yeah the sashimi. So I dont eat raw fish so sashimi is a miss. Another minus point of me going to eat this buffet.



Okay so there is dimsum. Which was nice.
But there is only one xiumai and one wanton which i like and another idk what is that dumpling.
Shit I should have ate them more. 
And there was also customisable pasta.
Different pasta choices, tomato or cream sauce.
And mushroom/sotong/lalas to choose from. And again I do not eat sotong or lalas so the only option is to put mushroom inside.
I seriously think that there is no chicken available in that place. Come to think of it, i didnt see any trace of chicken anywhere except for the Japanese crispy popcorn chicken.
Anyways, the pasta is niceeeee but not filling because there is no chicken but never mind since its a buffet. And you dont really want to finish it cause mine is a cream base pasta. Even if its really tasty, i guess by the time you finish it you will be sick of cream and you might want to puke. Ew.



There's roasted duck and char siew. Which meh i think the taste,but their chili sauce is dope man. Damn spicy, and it taste better than the chicken rice etc chili. Woop. 
There was prata. I ordered an egg one. And it was done and the chef just heat it up for me. So i had a hard time cutting the prata. Which resulted to me leaving one layer of prata uncut. Whut. 
And there is also bbq-ed beef but its BEEF. So i cant eat but i guess it really delicious judging by the smell of it homg daebak. 



So the desserts. They were too presentable. Nice and well decorated wooop. I love chocolates,but no dark chocolate. I do not like bitter chocolates.
And unfortunately, all the chocolate cakes, tarts, brownies, and even the ice cream are made from dark chocolate.
So i just took them to take pictures only and full stop. 
There was this mango pudding. Omg have i told anyone about my craze for mangoes?!
The mango cubes were dope sour mangoes omg someone save me. But the pudding was meh. I was expecting it to be good because the mangoes were but apparently,its too bland.
There was this chocolate brownie in a jar with a lot of mousse. The spoon went in and came out with alot of mousse, a part of the brownie and the chocolate sauce on it disappeared in the mousse. So basically,i was just eating the mousse. Too mousse,next. 
I asked to try the chocolate ice cream hoping it to be sweetttttttt but. Yeah it was dark chocolate. So vanilla bam. 
Decorate it with chocolate kisses (the shape is just like the heresy's kisses) and gummy bears hihihi. 
But the taste of the Vanilla ice cream disappointed me again. 
It tastes like milk baby milk ew. But i just it just nice for you to bury your gummy bear in the ice cream and wait for awhile to eat the ice cream with the cold gummy weeeee. 






So i feel that for a $32 buffet, its not really worth it based on my food options and choices and taste. 
But i think its really cheap as compared to before discount $58 on a normal lunch day. And its in Mandarin Oriental some atas hotel buffet place. So once in a while, i guess it okay?
